Although I am quite active on various social media, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s all fun and games to me. On many days, I suffer from online fatigue – I just don’t want to be there, I don’t want to be bombarded with the whole world and its mother’s kids, cats, weals and woes… and least of all… with their perfect lives and HUGE successes.

It makes me want to crawl under a blanket and hide. Who needs me anyway?

Sounds familiar?

The (online) world can give us a completely distorted view of the world. However, the more time we spend there, the more real it seems. But please, please, never forget that our reality is completely manufactured out of the stuff we give our attention to.
You know, the phenomenon of selective perception. Our senses select on the basis of what we already know and believe.

So, if the (online) world seems full of ridiculously successful coaches, healers with beautiful websites, trainers with fully booked courses, teachers with raving students and amazingly designed course materials… You’re seeing what apparently your mind needs to have confirmed. I.e. the belief that everybody else is bigger, better, more visible, more successful, more qualified, more …. fill in the blank.

The truth is: this may or may not be true, we’ll never know and it doesn’t matter. Because your value is not determined by somebody else’s, even though your brain may have learnt to believe that (in school, for example). You are valuable and unique, and bring something to this world that nobody else can. Provided you give yourself a chance! And, perhaps more importantly, give yourself a break!
A break from your gremlins, your demons, your limiting beliefs – the internal voices that tell you lies to keep you safe.

Remember last week’s blog? It caused a bit of a stir, and that was because of the title: The soul purpose myth busted. Suggesting I believe there’s no such thing.

But I DO believe there is such a thing. It’s often misunderstood and overcomplicated – that’s what I think.

BUT. I believe your soul has a great desire.
And it’s this: expressing itself fully, completely and blissfully. Experiencing utter joy by living to the fullest, by connecting, sharing, BEING. And each soul has it’s unique expression – which is shaped by your talents and idiosyncracies.

So no more ‘the world doesn’t need me anyway’. YES it bl**dy well does. What it doesn’t need, is you trying to be something you are not, you trying to emulate someone else.

Sounds simple, but it isn’t – I know. We’ve been moulded, cultured, educated, imprinted away from simple soulful bliss. It’s there sometimes, and just as easily gone.

But it needn’t be.

I’ve got things to support you. And more up my sleeve.
First, I’ve created a Coaches cheat sheet – for everyone working with people (coaches, teachers, healers, trainers etc.). Giving you some solid basics and lots of encouragement to show up as you in your life and work. Get it here, it’s free!
